Q: I just
registered the program and got my email
confirmation, but the program says it is still in
trial mode. What happened?
A: We use a third-party system for
payment and serial number generation, and sometimes
it hiccups and doesn't register the application
properly. There's nothing to worry about; just
contact support with your sale number, or serial
number, and we'll send you a little program that
registers Horizon in your name.
Q: How can I enter a cell quickly, without
selecting the cell, then clicking on the Toolbar
button?
A: Just double-click in the date.
The 'Cell Value' field will automatically activate.
Type in your value and press 'Enter'. For real
speed, select the cell, press Cmd + Enter to
activate the Cell Value field.
Q: Can I enter some descriptive text after
the value in the 'Cell Value' field?
A: No, you should use the new
'Comments' field in Horizon 1.3.
Q: Is there an easy way to carry over one
months ending balance to the beginning of the next
month?
A: It's not very easy, but it's not too hard, and
you'll need to make a couple of equations. Go to
the end of the month, and create a sum function
that covers the entire month. Like this:
Now that you've got the total for the month, go to
the first day of the next month. Make a cell, and
start and an equation with the equals (=) sign.
Then, Control+click or right click to bring up the
context-sensitive menu. Select 'Yesterday'. Press
'Enter' and you'll see a cell containing the
previous month's total.
